Twenty four referees and three referees' coaches will represent the NSWFRA at the FFA National Futsal Championships next week.

The 12 senior and 12 junior referees are all members of the NSWFRA State League Referees Panel and have passed the required fitness testing levels to attend the Championships.

"Competition for places was quite intense this year and it is a credit to those who have been selected" said Director of Coaching, Scott Kidson.

"With level of competition coming from within NSW as well as from the other states, it is a credit to performances of the referees who have received the call up. It will only get harder in the coming years."

"I believe the number of representatives that the NSWFRA has is a reflection on the development work that we have put in to our referees over the past few years as well as the dedication of our members to improve their performances."

The Futsal Nationals will be held in Canberra with the opening ceremony commencing at 3pm on Monday January 9th at the Australian Institute of Sport. The tournament concludes on finals day - Friday January 13th.
